Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer/ today we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag 7mm LT Studded Truck Chains with cam tensioners on our 2020 Ram 1500. So if you guys are going to do some off-roading and you guys need a really, really aggressive chain, this is going to be the chain that you guys want, just because this is going to be the most aggressive chain that we offer here. Pewag did a really good job of getting these massive, massive studs on the end of our twist links here. So as you guys can see, we have some huge duds on the end of our twist links here. This isn't going to be great for your ride quality, but, like I said, off-road use only, these are going to get you out of almost any situation you're in.This is going to be the most aggressive chain that we offer here, and they are going to wear away relatively evenly in regards to these studs here. Even if there isn't snow on the ground, especially when that ground is still just frozen and you guys are in the woods somewhere just kind of logging around, these are definitely going to be able to dig into that frozen dirt and get you free for whatever situation you guys may be in.These are going to protect your rims too. more

Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains Review - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Adam: Hi, everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the pewag all square snow tire chains on our 2020 Ram 1500. These are going to be a ladder pattern style chain. So, these are going to be a little bit less easy on you when you're driving compared to some of those spring roller style cable chains, just because those don't have near as much height to your tire than these do, but I definitely think we're going to get a lot more benefits to it just because we're going to get a lot more traction than the roller style. Also, we are going to just get all in all better traction, starting, stopping, turning, everything like that. As you guys can see, we do have a square link and we are going to have about 5.6 millimeters of size.That is going to be a little less aggressive than the seven millimeter size pewag chains you guys may be looking at, but these are just going to give a little bit nicer ride than those seven millimeter ones. more

But when it comes to a ladder pattern style chain, these are going to be the lesser aggressive types compared to the V-Bar style or even those big square links, just because we aren't going to really add a whole lot of height to our tire. more

Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain cable snow tire chains on our 2020 Ram 1500. These chains are going to be cable chains forming a ladder pattern, so we are going to have a somewhat consistent amount of chains going around our whole entire tire. These are going to be a little bit less aggressive than some of your link style chains, and a lot more less aggressive than those V-bar style. As you can see, we do have some nice rollers on here, and these are going to be less aggressive, but it's going to give you a lot smoother ride. So for the not as intense situations that you guys will be in, lighter snow, something like that, these are going to be great for your starting, stopping and turns, but also it's going to give you a nice and smooth ride.Comparing them to the V-bar style, these are going to wear down a little bit slower and more evenly, just because they are universally shaped throughout the whole entire chain here. more

What really sets these chains apart is the amount of adjustability that we have. We have a couple of links that we can pick from on the back connection, we have some links that we can pick from in our front connection, and then we also have one, two, three, and four different cam tensioners, so we're going to have a lot of adjustment to be able to get that right fitment for your guys' tire. So these are going to be a little bit more aggressive than some of those spring rollers style snow chains, but these aren't going to be as aggressive as some of those V-Bar style chains as well. more

What really gets us that aggressive grip is going to be these massive links here, going to be about seven millimeters. And, these are definitely going to be extremely beefy. They are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel, and they are a nice square link. So, we are going to have a nice edge on the side here. more

So these are going to be an extremely aggressive chain, a little bit less aggressive than the V-Bar style because we're not going to have any spikes coming out of our chains, but they are going to be relatively larger square links. They are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel so they are going to resist against rust and corrosion over time. So hopefully these are going to last you through a decent amount of seasons. As you can see here, we do have a ladder pattern and it does have a nice finish to it so it is hardened and extremely durable. more

So, what really sets this chain apart from most is the fact that we have about 7 mm of link size on these. Compared to some of the others, these are a lot bigger. They're going to be extremely heavy duty and extremely aggressive, but there is some downsides and upsides to these type of chains. One, the upsides, we're going to get around 32% more traction with these chains, but also we are going to have a relatively rougher ride compared to some of the other chains you guys may be putting on your guy's tire. more

These are going to wear away relatively quicker than just your normal twist link or square link chains, but it is going to give you optimal traction whenever you guys are starting, stopping, and turning as well. Now, it's never a bad idea to keep a set of chains in your Ram, especially if you live in an area where you're required to, or if you're just going to be getting some heavy snow and ice, where if you don't have four wheel drive, or you do have four wheel drive and it's just not cutting it, then you can throw these chains on, get you that extra traction so you can stay on the road.These are going to be some pretty heavy duty chains from Pewag. more

Hi everyone, it's Colin here with E-Trailer, and today we have a 2019 Ram 2500. And we're going to go ahead and do a test fit of these Titan Chain V-Bar Snow Tire Chains with the Cam tighteners. Now the tire size for our Ram today, you can find it on the sidewall. It's going to be 27570 R-18, so double-check your Ram, make sure the tire size is the same, or if it's a different tire size, make sure that these chains will fit that tire size. Now it's never a bad idea to keep a set of chains in your Ram, especially if you live in an area where you're required by law to have a set in your truck, and these V-Bar stud chains are probably going to be some of the most aggressive ones you can get.The V-Bar studs are welded to the cross-links with these twist link chains. These are going to dig into that really thick snow and ice that you might be experiencing, give you the extra traction that you need to be able to stay on the road and stay safe. more

Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan chain V-Bar snow tire chains with cam tensioners on our 2013 Ram 2,500. So these are going to be probably one of the more aggressive chains you can get right now. It's going to be a lot more aggressive than even your twist link because it is a twist link, but it has this little V right there and that's what gives it its name, V-Bar. These are going to dig into that snow and ice and definitely gets you to and from your destination, regardless of what the snow or ice may be doing on the road. One thing to note though, if it's a thin layer of snow and you put these on, you're probably going to wear them down pretty quickly, and also you might even tear up your driveway or even the road. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chain for your wider base tires on our 2013 Ram 2500.Just to give you my two cents on tire chains, these ladder pattern styles for these bigger wheels are the same in my opinion. Some are more aggressive, some are a little bit smoother of a ride, but one these stand out is the coating that they have. First of all, they look cool in my opinion, but also it's going to be that grade eight coating, so it's going to be a little bit stronger than some of those other ones that are just going to be that treated steel.This is going to have some square links, and they're all going to be uniform throughout all of the chains. They're going to wear pretty evenly. more

So we are going to have a square link set up with a nice diamond pattern. So it's going to get a lot of surface area on our tires here for optimal starts, stops and turning. It is going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel. So it's going to resist that corrosion over time and also hold up for a long time. They are going to basically weather pretty evenly with these square links. more

Now, the tire it's working with is 275-60-R-20.These chains are really heavy duty and they're going to work well for when you have really tough conditions, like thick snow and ice, or if you're off-roading, as well. These chains have a ladder pattern, which is going to give you great traction for starts, accelerating, and stops. They have an aggressive V-bar link design, which is going to give you great traction for those times where you might be in a bind and need a lot of extra traction, or if you just need traction through rough conditions.I would avoid using these on any type of light conditions, where the chain might still come in contact with the pavement. You'd risk ruining the pavement, your chain, or even your tire. The chain is equipped with four of these cam tensioners, which are there to take up the slack in your chain to provide a snug fit on your tire. more

Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. And we're going to be test fitting these Titan chain alloy snow tire chains, which is part number TC2533. Now the tire size on our Ram is 275/60-R20. What I really like about these tire chains is that they're very quick and easy to install thanks to these color-coded connection points around the chain. And they're also self-tensioning so we don't have to an extra rubber tensioner to put on the different points of the chain to make sure they stay tight against our tire. It's all going to be contained right in this system. more

These chains are made out of case-hardened square links that provide excellent traction on snow and ice. The ladder pattern on our chains is going to assist with effective starts and stops.
